Outside America's Most Infamous Concentration Camp

Attending the 24th Weekly Prayer Vigil Outside "Alligator Alcatraz"

On January 11th, OwlMedia and Closer to the Edge traveled to “Alligator Alcatraz”, the infamous concentration camp built in the Florida Everglades.

There we had the opportunity to speak with Arianne Betancourt, who has attended every prayer vigil since her father was taken and imprisoned there.

We also spoke to Janet Soto, whose fiancee was also taken by ICE and put into the Krome Detention Center in Miami where Arianne’s father was transferred to as well.

They showcased their bravery and resilience in the face of such adversity, giving us the details about the situations of their family members that have been taken by this cruel regime. And showed us that love perseveres even in the face of such monumental injustice.
