Riot Happens in Alligator Alcatraz Concentration Camp

While Outside Remains Quiet in the Absence of Community

On our way to the detention camp known as “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Florida Everglades, we received reports from inside sources and family members of a possible riot.

According to the messages we received, detainees built barricades using beds and whatever materials they could find. They attempted to break open the cages after tensions inside reached a breaking point.

Afterward, several people were reportedly sent to isolation.

Family members told us those inside have been speaking about inhumane conditions - food infested with worms, lack of proper medical care, and punishment in 2x2 cages left out in the open sun.

When we arrived, the contrast was disturbing.

Supporters of Donald Trump were stopping at the sign, smiling and taking photos like it was a tourist attraction.

But this is not a roadside landmark.

This is a detention facility in the middle of the Everglades.

Inside, people are describing fear, isolation, and degrading conditions. Outside, others are posing for pictures.

Families are demanding answers. They’re asking for transparency, medical attention for their loved ones, and basic human dignity.

What we witnessed today shows two completely different realities happening in the same place - celebration on the outside, desperation on the inside.

And that’s why we continue to document
