Our democracy is on life support.
With a fascist corrupt megalomaniac rapist president who makes his followers pledge to cheat in an election, offers them $5,000 to vote his way, is suing states to turn over their voter records and threatens the presence of murderous federal agents at polling places to intimidate voters – amongst all the other things he has done to cripple the pillars of democracy the past two years – we are in dire straits.
Foreign bot farms, tech oligarchs, and media platforms consolidated by fascists are already doing enough to influence our elections. And the attorney of Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters just ousted her for meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office regarding a plan to seize ballots in Colorado.
Now is the time for us to fight like hell for freedoms we are actively witnessing slipping through our fingers on the daily.
On October 6-9th, FLARE along with Cliff Cash, took citizens and American veterans to lobby Congress and send a warning to those who might take part in meddling with the midterm elections in an attempt to appease the illegitimate president in office.
The message was simple: If you aid in any way in meddling with the midterms, you will be seen as a traitor and The People will deal with you as such.
I’ve covered civilian lobbying numerous times with both FLARE and Cliff Cash over the past two years and this time we hit more offices in a given day than ever before.
“We’re here to warn you,” Cliff told staffers. “Much like when a child tries to run out into traffic and you place your hand in front of them to keep them from getting hit by a car, that’s what we are here doing for you right now.”
There were many staffers and Chiefs of Staff that laughed right in our faces. Those who actively deny the reality their constituents came to convey. Those who put their chips behind a corrupt fascist whose name heavily populates the Epstein files implicated in the worst crimes imaginable.
Jim Jordan’s Chief of Staff Kevin Eichinger even refused to acknowledge that Trump openly invited Iran to bomb San Diego and Los Angeles, and when confronted with video proof, pushed the video away and continued to laugh nervously.
We flooded the halls of Congress with a warning to convey a mutual understanding that none of us want the chaos and calamity that would come in the aftermath of a stolen election by a fascist regime. Because that’s where we are as a country.
When the President openly calls for cheating in an election, amongst the gigantic mountain of illegal, inhumane and outright treasonous acts he commits every single day, that’s when we need all hands on deck.
Democracy is not a spectator sport, and we’ve got way too many able-bodied players twiddling their thumbs on the sidelines and not even looking at the scoreboard.
There should be way more people willing to make it out to DC and hold their representatives accountable. There are so many ways to get involved, and one of them is to join FLARE during their weekly congressional visits to flood the halls with as many angry constituents as possible to apply constant pressure to the people paid by your tax dollars to represent you and are routinely failing to do so.
The people we actually see resisting are the people who are the broke and broken. But it shouldn’t take having nothing to lose to resist against tyranny.
People must be ready to make sacrifices to stop this before those sacrifices are decided for them against their own will.

And above all, make sure it’s your priority to vote in these midterms. Not because it’s what’s going to stop the fascism we are facing. But because it’s a tool of the democracy we want to preserve. Not to preserve an unsustainable system, but to preserve the notion that every person in this country should have a say in the direction it’s heading. That We The People have the freedom to choose.
Because come November 5th, and they do steal the elections, we are going to have to do a lot more than just relying on a democracy they are intent on crippling. We are going to have to flood the streets of DC and shut the city down with an occupation the likes of which history has never seen.
We may even have to fix this by working completely outside of the parameters of democracy in order to save it, and that could mean We The People physically pulling these tyrants out of their seats of power kicking and screaming.
But until then we have to exhaust all options, and let them make the move that drives the final nail into the coffin.
After that, all bets are off.
So vote like your country depends on it, because that’s the bare minimum. And then after that, fight like hell to make sure your vote still matters.
